Circulation veteran
Scott Bullock has resigned from CDS Global to return to his private consultancy,
Circ3. Bullock, who wrote
Masthead’s Circ Matters column, joined CDS in 2007 and most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing.
Sticking with CDS,
Sheredean Smith has joined the client services team there as an account manager. Smith has over 12 years of experience in the magazine fulfillment industry, having previously held positions at CDS Global and Rogers Media.
Marie-France LeBlanc, a public relations and special events specialist in the Halifax area for over 10 years, has been named executive director for
Word on the Street Halifax. Her background also includes being a columnist, reporter and producer for both radio and print media.
Greg Hudson, a recent graduate of Ryerson University’s journalism program, has joined Venture Publishing in Edmonton as associate editor for the recently acquired
Alberta Oil magazine. Hudson wrote a feature about John Macfarlane and
The Walrus for the 2009
Ryerson Review of Journalism summer edition.
We’re a bit late with this, but back in October,
Sheila Sampath, art director of
Shameless, a feminist magazine for teenage girls, co-founded a design studio called
The Public, which specializes in communications for organizations committed to social change.
Finally,
Elaine Corden was recently appointed editor-in-chief of
Yukon, North of Ordinary,
Alaska and Yukon, The Last Great Road Trip, and
ArtsNet Yukon. All three magazines are owned by
Harper Street Publishing.
