Toronto Life launches Best Restaurants app
Toronto Life [St. Joseph Media] launched a new iPhone/iPad app today "that gives Torontonians instant access to the best dining experiences in the city."

Toronto Life critics selected and reviewed 400+ restaurants in the city to feature in the app. "Our reviewers are anonymous and unbiased," reads the app's 'How We Do It' page. "Restaurant bills are paid by Toronto Life, reviews have no connection to advertising." That being said, advertising is not being sold within the app, noted a Toronto Life spokesperson. The publisher earns revenue from app sales.

Restaurants are searchable by neighbourhood, price or cuisine [among other search parameters], and users can set the app to provide recommendations based on certain criteria. Using your phone's GPS, the app will let the user know which restaurants are close by.

The Toronto Life Best Restaurants app is available for $1.99 at and on Apple's App Store.

Toronto Life also recently announced it is launching an SIP entitled Toronto Life Cooks, "The urbanist's dream food magazine, featuring scores of easy-to-make recipes from the city's best chefs, bakers, baristas, pit masters and bartenders."
